I am going to use this blog to express some thoughts, garner some feedback, maybe give glimpses of upcoming 'stuff' and hopefully give you something interesting to read.
But first, avid reader, I thought I might introduce myself so that on this journey together, we may begin to become friends.
I am Steve Lloyd; father, husband, musician, writer, business development consultant - a man of many hats. I love my wife and kids very much, they are the world to me though sometimes challenging.
My other passion is cars. In fact you could say I evangelise about them.
So thats the initial introduction over and done with.
Today, I finally summoned the courage to finish a short story and get it ready for publication. Well I have just printed it out and just need to post it out tomorrow. I can't tell you which magazine just yet, but if I get accepted, I will let you know. But the feelings that have been running through me for the last 2 hours are quite extraordinary.
Gone are the feelings of feeling very good about myself by only showing the story to those who already think I'm great. It's time for some real feedback! My work, form my head will hopefully be published sometime soon.
I would be very keen to hear from all those others out there who have done something similar and how they felt about it.
Its quite a strange feeling.
